Our Board of Directors provides strategic guidance, governance, and oversight to support the organization’s mission and long-term vision. Composed of experienced leaders from diverse professional backgrounds, the board brings expertise in governance, finance, community leadership, and industry knowledge.

Working closely with leadership, the board ensures accountability, strengthens organizational impact, and helps guide sustainable growth while upholding our core values.

Dr. Oliver Kapepa

Co-Chair, Board of Directors

Dr. Oliver Kapepa is an academic by profession and serves as an Assistant Professor at a local university in Vancouver. He brings a strong background in research, education, and leadership to his role as Co-Chair of the Board of ZICUSO BC.

As Co-Chair, Dr. Kapepa provides strategic guidance and collaborative leadership to support the organization’s mission and long-term vision. He is committed to strengthening governance, fostering community engagement, and advancing initiatives that promote Zimbabwean culture and community development in British Columbia.

Gladys Mutangadura

Co-Chair, Board of Directors

Gladys Mutangadura is an international development expert with over twenty years of experience working in various capacities with the United Nations. Prior to her work with the UN, she served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of North Carolina and as a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe.

Gladys is deeply committed to supporting and empowering the Zimbabwean community in Canada, with a particular focus on settlement, integration, and community development. She brings a strong global perspective and a passion for inclusive, community-centered solutions to her role on the Board.
