REFUGEE SUPPORT PROGRAM

Hope Begins with a Helping Hand

In collaboration with DIVERSEcity and a network of other dedicated non-profit organizations, this program is designed to support refugees arriving from Central and Southern Africa as they begin new lives in the South Fraser region of British Columbia. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by newcomers, especially those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, the program offers comprehensive settlement assistance tailored to their needs.

Rooted in Culture, Growing Together

Our organization plays a key role by providing culturally appropriate food items that not only meet nutritional needs but also offer a sense of familiarity and comfort during the transition period. In addition to food support, we offer access to critical information, resources, and referrals that empower refugees to navigate their new environment with confidence.

Navigating New Paths, Side by Side

These services include orientation to Canadian systems and services, community connections, employment and housing support, language assistance, and access to healthcare and education. By fostering inclusion and building strong community networks, we aim to ensure that newcomers feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to successfully integrate into the South Fraser region and thrive in their new communities
